This person should be empathetic, patient, consistently professional, and have strong communication skills, with an aptitude to work with women who have experienced intimate partner trauma.
Ideally, the House Manager will live in the staff room in the house, as living accommodations (private bedroom and bathroom), food, internet, and utilities are a significant part of the compensation package.
This is a part-time position which focuses primarily on assisting residents with their individualized case plans, including contacting other agencies on behalf of residents and identifying appropriate programming to meet the residents' needs.
We try to organize resident activities and treatments (such as. in-home spa services, manicures and pedicures, art classes, etc) to provide our residents opportunities to foster their interests, even while 'sheltering in-place' much of the time. If you have an idea for an activity you'd like to offer, please contact us.
Project Managers (gardening, furniture restoration, and craft projects)
We are building a community and offering our residents opportunities to give back to the house through additional programs that drive revenue and employment opportunities. Volunteers are needed to help us develop and manage these projects.
Court & Legal Advocates
Our residents often deal with legal issues to ensure their safety. This requires support from an advocate to assist with legal aid, an ally to attend court with them and generally a friend to be a support through the process.
